Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for real-time clearing, giving institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf instant settlement at any hour.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has formed a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to enable around-the-clock settlement for institutional digital asset transactions, the companies announced Sunday. The integration centers on SGB Net, the bank's real-time clearing network, which will allow institutional clients operating across Asia and the Gulf region to finalize trades at any time of day without waiting for traditional banking windows.
The agreement addresses a long-standing friction point in institutional crypto markets, where settlement delays tied to conventional banking hours have complicated treasury management and risk exposure for large-scale participants. By connecting to SGB Net, Payward positions its institutional infrastructure to compete more directly with the always-on nature of blockchain-native settlement rails.

As part of the broader arrangement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime — Payward's institutional prime brokerage arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That move is expected to deepen the pool of tradable assets available to SGB's institutional clientele in two of the world's fastest-growing digital asset markets.
The partnership reflects a wider industry push to close the gap between traditional financial infrastructure and the continuous settlement expectations that digital asset markets have established. Both the Asian and Gulf corridors have seen accelerating regulatory clarity in recent years, making institutional-grade services in those regions increasingly commercially viable.
